Flight Recorder
Optional Feature False Lift

Airplanes have Stall Warning, hot air balloons should too.

Balloon Stall Warning alerts the pilot to a False Lift condition which could result in the loss of lift (same as airplanes).

With an anemometer mounted on the top of the envelope, the speed of the wind across the top of the envelope is measured.

Any speed above 5 mph is considered significant False Lift and will cause a buzzer to sound.

The False Lift wind speed is displayed in mph on the first line above the ground speed, and is labeled Lift.

The anemometer is attached to the crown ring with Velcro.
